Synopsis:

The story consists of three episodes. The plot is set in Japan beginning from the 1990s and ending in modern day, with each segment centered on a boy named Takaki Tono. It is important to remember that the first episode takes place during a time period when cell phones are uncommon and e-mail doesn't exist.

Personal Note:

A very interesting episodic animation that is unique for its style of story telling. Although the last episode becomes a bit hard to follow,the connections between the episodes are very interesting. The director is Makoto Shinkai who has become internationally well known for his earlier animation in 2004; “The Place Promised in Our Early Days” ,and unlike his previous films which were mostly Sci-Fi, this time he has chosen a romantic story. It’s a good animation and I believe you will enjoy watching it.
